Why Organic ?

Why Organic ? Some of you may still be groping with this question. I list below what Uttarakhand Organic Commodity Board  (UOCB) has to say about this …
1> Organic means using farming system free of chemical , synthetic and hormone use which is not only healthy for consumers but is an ecology friendly production system too.
2>Organic food is more nutritious than factory farm produce.
3> Better taste and shelf life
4> Encourages fair trade practice by directly connecting farmers and marketing agencies with customers directly
5>Promotes zero carbon footprint by not using fossil fuel
6>Promotes Regeneration, Rejuvenation and Restoration of the soil fertility
7> Preserve mountain ecosystems.

Hello !

Dear Friends,

Driven by passion and quest for Safe and Healthy Organic Food, I am happy to announce the launch of my new venture Himalayan Organic Produce Co. with brand  “Jaivikfood” to provide Organically grown food from Himalayan region of Uttarakhand.  “Jaivik“ relates to Jaivik Kheti or Sajeev Kheti in Hindi which translates to “Life Agriculture” and is based on the concept that Soils are Alive.

Jaivikfood is founded to promote fresh and healthy food free from ill effects of toxins like chemical pesticides and fertilizers. The fresh farm produce will be delivered at your doorstep in Delhi /NCR. A humble start is beginning with weekly delivery of fresh seasonal vegetables from Shivalik ranges of Himalayas on Sunday  22nd March 2015.  I look forward to your active participation and support.

When you buy Jaivikfood, you are ensuring three important things:

> Healthy and safe food for family,

> Right price for their produce to farmers and

> Toxin free and living soil for our next generations to come.

Very soon, you will be able to order Organic Sugar, Organic Milk and Milk Products and other groceries for your kitchen.  Moreover, if you have an inclination for Greenery, you will also get full support to start your own roof top Jaivik kitchen garden to enjoy both greenery and fresh produce in your own home under the brand GreenThumb.
