Why Organic ?

Why Organic ? Some of you may still be groping with this question. I list below what Uttarakhand Organic Commodity Board  (UOCB) has to say about this …
1> Organic means using farming system free of synthetic and hazardous chemicals use which is not only healthy for consumers but is an ecology friendly production system too.
2>Organic food is more nutritious than factory farm produce.
3> Better taste and shelf life
4> Encourages fair trade practice by directly connecting farmers and marketing agencies with customers directly
5>Promotes zero carbon footprint by not using fossil fuel
6>Promotes Regeneration, Rejuvenation and Restoration of the soil fertility
