Also known as “Himayat”, An exotic variety mango which was one of the highly liked varieties by the Nijam of Hyderabad. #Himayat is one of the best mangoes of India, ideally suited for dessert and the table fruit.

The fruit has a beautiful smooth oval shaped at maturity. Properly harvested and ripened fruit has a fibreless, silky flesh with a deep, sweet flavour and distinct citrus overtones. The sweet aroma of Himayat engulfs the room quickly. The name Imam Pasand for a mango sounds like it should have come from the Nawabi culture. The fact is that Himayat hails from Tamilnadu and the Nawabs of Hyderabad nurtured it in their orchards which gave it the name Imam Pasand.

The fruit turns to  Greenish yellow in colour after ripening and becomes ready to eat. As with any fruit, it should be stored in cool place/refrigerate after ripening.
